Unfortunately, it has been a very bad experience with Doterra. My first order came with no problems and I liked the quality of some of the oil I ordered. However on my second order, after a long delete, I received an empty box. Doterra claimed and excused them selves saying that they had had some problem with mailing their merchandise. After 20 days, I finally received the order, but changing it twice, which is a total scam. On 7/23/2020, I called customer service and the person who I spoke with was very rude and insulting, to the point tell me that I was trying to take advantage of the situation. She didn't want to give me her name and just hang up on me. I just decide to leave that like that and no buying anything else from this company. Now, a month later I found out that they make another unauthorized charge on my credit card. I report that to the bank. This is totally a fraud.

On Nov 2,2020, my credit card was charged by Doterra the amount of $146.23 without my knowledge. They got hold of my credit card because I had bought products from them a month before (Oct 2,2020). I did not order anything from them in Nov, I did not authorize them to charge my card for anything whatsoever. As soon as I notice the purchase on my credit card, I called Doterra right away to refund my credit card. They apologized for charging my credit card without my knowledge but they stated that could not refund my credit card until the products they had shipped to me was received by me and returned to them. On Nov 6,2020, the products they had shipped arrived of which I returned unopened the same day. To this day, Dec 2,2020, I still have not received my money back. I had initiated a claim with my credit card to refund me and I am waiting. Why do I have to go through this over a purchase that I never initiated in the first place? Who has a right to charge people's credit cards without their approval? Be careful when you buy anything from Doterra.

The very first order I placed was several days late. When I inquired, their customer service reps were completely unhelpful - not their fault, nothing they could do. They wouldn't even credit me back on the shipping. I told them I expected them to honor their shipping commitment and didn't need it late. I plan to return the shipment when it finally arrives. The company obviously cares more about a few dollars in the short term that honoring and respecting their word and keeping customers happy and returning.

Normally i would say good service

Normally i would say, that the service is great and the produckts even better. But i experienced an issue, when i in december 2020 ordered a Christmas gift for my mum. An concule oil to $49.33, and got an email about it had been delivered in another island in my contry. So i wote to them about it, and i got in contact with doterra service. I told them, that the pacaked had been delivered wrongly and i send them some schreensjots of my order and the delivery address. And so they said that, my order could get reshipped, to my actual location, when they had gathered all the informations about my shipment and what had gone wrong. I thanked them and never heard about it again and i just simply don't know what to do. But i would either like my oil sent to my actual addres or my money back!
But I hope they will write back and we can short this out.

So rude

I had to speak to the representative named Alicia. She was short and rude through a text. When you have an experience like this, it makes you wonder. I will be taking my business elsewhere. I have been a loyal customer and advocate since 2016.

I have been a loyalty rewards member…

I have been a loyalty rewards member for years and have spent a lot of money on dotters products. I usually recommend them to all my friends. After today I will not. It’s a good thing the oils are of high quality, because customer service is horrible. I bought a dawn humidifier/diffuser and it stopped working two weeks ago. It’s less than a year old (second product this has happened with from them). I called today and the resolution was: A. We will give you $25. The diffused costed $48 or B) send it back (I don’t have a box anymore. I feel that for all the money I have spent oVer the years (a lot), they should have just sent a new one. They lost a customer today.

Emailed them.no response. Rang called answered in USA. Nearly two hours no joy as I did not buy the product direct. Gave them all the details no joy. They are only interested in making money . Want be buying anything from them or anyone dealing with them. Bought through the person whose is a member. Pls be careful.

Amazing oils but awful website

Love their oils so much, the products are really the best, but the website and the whole business structure truly ruin everything. I find the website to be impossible to navigate and understand, the interface is awful, nothing is clear. The business module, how you earn points, how it works, is even worse. And the monthly order scheme is disgusting, natural remedies and aromatherapy are not about making money and encouraging people to buy what they actually do not need. That is extremely disappointing, but I do have to say the oils themselves are top notch and I absolutely love them. Change your business module doterra, please!

NEVER BUY FROM THEM

The oils may be great but when it comes to Refunds, they make it IMPOSSIBLE. I sent a package back to them in December, it is now February and I still have not gotten my refund and when I called they denied my refund and offered me no solution. So not only did I not want the package they sent me, now I am out $$$! It is A TERRIBLE company and GREEDY!

Awful customer service, won’t provide invoices or respond to emails. Avoid using them at all costs.

I was contacted by Dave from doTerra…

I was contacted by Dave from doTerra and arranged a zoom meeting to talk about the business. The day of the meeting I asked if I could cancel and was asked why. I told him my uncle was really ill and didn’t have long left so I wasn’t in the right mind frame. He Instantly tried to book me in for another session the next week. I kindly declined to which he gave me some other available dates- to which I declined again. When I received a confirmation email of my zoom cancellation and reason it read;
“Not interested in learning more about the powerful healing properties of essential oils and generating an income.”

Not a good business

Joined them as a consultant, I like the products but even though they make it look as a good business it is not so. I was very disappointed when I finally understood all the rules but remained with the company. I would order one product and they send another one without explanation, customer service is not the best.

Petal Faulty

Bought 2 petal diffusers both gone faulty within matter of a month where buttons wont work intermittantly, have to be left off for long period of time to work again, spoken to customer service and they want it back before send replacement out but this is impossible without having another (for health reasons) but they wont replace before looking at old one

Melaleuca, the very 1st essential oils company, has their essential oils go through more tests to ensure purity than both DoTerra and Young Living.

As far as their prices, Melaleuca sells their essential oils for between 30% - 60% less than those companies.

The 'smell test' is highly subjective and not a scientific QC test.
You need a CA (certificate of analysis) to rate quality. Or you can run an IR scan or chromatographic test to assure purity.
